*sighs* Well at least Carver’s there now.  He can pick you up and put you to bed if you’re ever in any danger of unconsciously hurting yourself. ;-)

….how did you know he does that? *frowns* Are you spying?  My windows are too high for that, aren’t they?

*eyes shift to the side* Lucky guess Kitten….just a lucky guess.

*sighs* Why would you want to spy on us anyway?  We’re not really very interesting…

Ohhh Merrill, but you are interesting. ;-) I wouldn’t be talking to you otherwise.  That and I just wanted to make sure you’re being taken care of.  You’ve been alone enough.

But I’m really not… I…

likebigboats said: “Don’t be ridiculous”? AHAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s a good one Kitten! You’re precious but that can’t be good for your neck.

Well…no.  Not really.  But I don’t mean to fall asleep in my chair!  It just happens sometimes when I’m up late reading.  And it’s better than if I had spikey pauldrons like Fenris.  Those really wouldn’t be comfortable at all!

True, it’s a wonder he doesn’t impale himself on those.  He’s equally prickly so maybe the two just cancel each other out.

Maybe you should read in bed instead?

If I did that, I’d never be out of my bed when I’m at home…  I don’t fall asleep in the chair all the time, really!

likebigboats asked: Why fur pauldrons? It seems like all mages have them. Despite what Varric says I doubt it has little to do with the "rebel mage persona". Is there an ancient story behind that? Like the pelt of the beast giving mages extra power or something?

Isabela, don’t be ridiculous.  It’s nothing like that! *laughs* Mine at least make a nice soft pillow for when I fall asleep reading in my chair instead of making it to my bed.

ooc: hey look, more neglected characters

Anyone want to love on Merrill or Sigrun?  It’s too quiet around here…

sometimesbrilliant:

You know, most of the ripped trousers I find on my adventures could have easily been mended

touchmystaff:

I gather most of those who are poor and living in Darktown were once rich, but threw all their money away by buying brand new trousers as soon as there was a rip in their old pair.

And really, how many people in Kirkwall actually wear scarves? I haven’t seen anyone wear a scarf except for Aveline.

Wasteful city, I swear to the Maker…

…I wear a scarf.

And I suppose if the tears in the pants were in a place hard to mend properly, it would make sense.  But I’d think it would be better to reuse what you could from the material.

Not that I’ve really worn pants much…ever…

Anonymous asked: By the maker! DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU MERRILL!

What? What is it?! I didn’t do it! *peers slowly over her shoulder*
